This thangka was painted by the Thupten Jigdral Tsewang Dorje, the Sixth Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche (d. 1962). Although never formally trained, he was a skilled painter, as illustrated by the painting above. This tanghka is unfinished, containing only three of the four traditional protector animal figures.
