This mask illustrates the Eight Auspicious Symbols, a traditional collection of symbolic images dating back to Indian Sanskrit texts. The eight symbols are:

Parasol - signifying universal respect felt for enlightened beings and protection against the inborn attraction towards negative actions

Two goldfish - signifying perfect wisdom, as embodied in the Buddha's eyes. In Indian tradition, the two fish represented the sacred Ganges and Yamuna rivers.

Treasure vase - signifying the inconceivable blessings of the enlightened presence and the fulfillment of spiritual and material wishes.

Lotus - signifying the purity of the enlightened mind

Conch - signifying the sound and fame of the enlightened teachings.

Endless/eternal knot - signifying auspicious coincidence ("tendrel"), which arises from the play of entertwined phenomena and is dependent on causes and conditions

Victory banner - Signifying the victory of the enlightened teachings, knowledge over ignorance, overcoming all hindrances and attaining happiness

Dharmachakra - the wheel of the enlightened teachings, which turns perpetually to convey the teachings To high resolution Opera Mask
